Though they say it's ok today, you can put your foot forward, Throw your hands in the air, and exclaim, that you don't wanna move from your bed today, But it's still hard to find that voice, and difficult to tap into, Hidden crevices, that don't see much of life but you, A tired voice that sings, with emotion, will echo in eternity, We are all in a panicked rush just to get our feet forward, Work our hands to the bone, just to say, that we ticked all the things off our list today, And it's so hard to find the time, where there are no disturbances, And boredom amplifies, our thoughts that are never realised, A tired voice that sings, with emotion, will echo in eternity,

Sorry I missed you, I was distracted by the tree outside, How can I miss you, I was dancing in my kitchen dreaming of another life, It's only you now, All of our times come and go, It's only truth now, and truth is really we were all wrong, Steal and hold that beat I don't know where it goes, Oh your pearls were too deep in the ocean, I couldn't hold my breath long before, The wind had swept up my loud emotions, I couldn't hold my breath at all, Take a walk on my side for a little while, Let your feet fall and the beat roll with me, I only have a little time, Let's open up our sky horizons, This is the time now, The gap between all life and form, I'm in the skies now, And I've found a heavenly sweet sun, Ooh oh oh Steal and hold that beat I don't know where it goes, Ooh oh oh

And it would seem that your sentences have become a jumbled mess, And what it is that you meant to say has been usurped by predictive text, But you don't have to reach for the delete button, You're not an error, Maybe you're not all that broken What you see seems like fantasy, slight of hand to deceive your eyes, Your sullen head glitching back and forth until normality returns again, But you don't have to reach for the delete button, You're not an error, Maybe you're not all that broke

about

The one man band Astroturf Inspector returns with his new single Luxury Boredom, another slice of warm indie pop to follow up on his debut single User Error released earlier in 2021.

Yet again the multi instrumentalist provides a catchy and accessible song recorded entirely on his iPhone during lockdown. The singer seemingly contradicts the upbeat sound of the song with raw and honest lyrics that touch on mental health in an ever growing digital world before finishing on a positive note that acknowledges the opportunity for growth as a result of challenges.

The single is accompanied by 2 B-Sides; a cover of label mates Maranta's latest single Miss Dupé and an acoustic version of Astroturf Inspector's first single User Error.
